November 2018 updates
Microsoft released three new driver updates that address system stability, as well as fix the Device Manager error state.
Unfortunately, if you’re still stuck with Windows 8.1, these updates do not apply to your devices. They are exclusive to users running Windows 10 Creators Update (version 1703) or greater.
Here are the full details of the Surface Pro 3 updates:
- Surface Integration – System – 2.0.1360.0: Improves system stability and resolves Device Manager error state.
- Marvell AVASTAR Bluetooth Radio Adapter – Bluetooth – 15.68.9125.57: Improves system security.
- Marvell AVASTAR Wireless-AC Network Controller – Network adapters – 15.68.9125.57: Improves system security.
The good news is that the updates are installing without issues.
How to get the Surface Pro 3 updates
Windows 10 automatically checks and downloads updates that only apply to Surface Pro 3. If your device doesn’t have previous updates, they will be downloaded and installed as well.
If you have not received the recent updates, you can check manually through the following process:
- Navigate to Start Menu, then click on Settings > Update & security > Windows Update.
- Press Check for updates.
- If there are updates available, click Install.
- When the installation is complete, press OK.
A quick reminder, most updates will require you to restart your device. It’s also worth mentioning that firmware updates cannot be uninstalled or reverted to an earlier version.
