What is Store.exe?
Store.exe is Microsoft MDB Store.
This file is part of Microsoft Exchange. Store.exe is developed by Microsoft Corporation. It’s a hidden file. It can use network. Store.exe is usually located in the %PROGRAM_FILES% sub-folder and its usual size is 5,176,832 bytes.
Store.exe RAM Usage
In Microsoft Exchange, store.exe’s purpose is to manage RAM in order to optimize performance. However, store.exe has a tendency to consume excessive amounts of RAM, sometimes even up to 90% of all available physical memory. This is true for Exchange 2003, Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2010.
The problem with store.exe is that it always tries to get hold of as much memory on the server as possible, just in case it can be used to optimize performance. This is because since the release of Exchange 5.5, store.exe tries to perform all its tasks in the RAM. This behavior is often mistaken for a memory leak.
